Stretch Film is available as cast or blown.
Cast film indicates fabrication of a film by continuously pumping the polymer through a straight slot orifice (die), then chilling this hot sheet of plastic immediately after the die by contact with a cooled "chill roll". Film thickness is determined by how fast the casting roll pulls the plastic away from the die.

Blown film indicates the fabrication of a film by continuously pumping the polymer through a circular orifice (die), then filling the tube thus created with air. The volume of air contained within the tube stretches the tube or the bubble out to the desired width. In conjunction with the rate at which it is being pulled away from the die, the desired thickness is created.

DESCRIPTION
Easiwrap, the signature product from Easiwrap International, is made with a new technology that transforms conventional thinking about stretch film. An engineered palletizing film which acts more like a shrink film, Easiwrap’s “memory” is up to three times greater than other pre-stretched and conventional films on the market today. This means that Easiwrap can be applied to a pallet loosely, but then tightens up, making the selector’s job easier and quicker. With its 300 per cent bilateral stretch, Easiwrap can conform to irregular dimensions on the pallet, while reducing waste material and increasing productivity. All selectors have an easier time using Easiwrap. While large companies in the stretch film industry have focused on ways to cheapen their product and maintain their margins by downgrading the gauge of the film, Easiwrap has addressed issues like damage through nicking and punctures, selector confidence, ease of use, yield and performance with consistency.

A LIGHTER OPTION
A 1500 to 2000 foot roll of Easiwrap weighs approximately half that of conventional hand film. The product was engineered to attack the inherent issue that higher gauge means higher strength, which is the conventional thought process in the industry. Easiwrap products are designed to outperform higher gauge conventional films in terms of strength and force to load, which means lighter rolls.
